The role of cold acclimation in ischemicko-reperfusion injury
Marvanová, Aneta ; Žurmanová, Jitka (advisor) ; Čížková, Dana (referee) ; Králová Lesná, Ivana (referee)
Cardiovascular disease, including ischemic heart disease, its acute form of myocardial infarction and subsequent heart failure, is still the most common cause of death in the world. For decades, scientists have been aiming to find clinically usable cardioprotective interventions that effectively prevented this disease or reduced the consequences of this disease and improved the quality of life of patients. It is known that a healthy lifestyle, which includes long-term hardening, contributes to heart protection. The beneficial effects of hardening on personality have been known for two hundred years, but no one before us has investigated the effect of a cold environment on the magnitude of ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) damage 10 years ago, we introduced a model of mild cold exposure (8 ± 1 řC) (MCE) which was protective on the size of the myocardial infarction and at the same time no negative side effects such as hypertension and myocardial hypertrophy were demonstrated. Our aim was to investigate the mechanism of cardioprotection induced by MCE. We asked the following questions: What is the metabolic profile of rats exposed to MCE? What is the effect of MCE on the magnitude of I/R damage in the short and long term? When does brown adipose tissue mature during MCE? Which signalling pathways are...
Heart rate meter
Šeda, Jan ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor thesis is summary of pulse measurement facilities. Heart pulse has been one of the basic measurable quantity in medical science for thousands of years. The basic quality of the given value is accuracy. The analyse of necessity of accuracy in methods for medical practice and diagnostic is the second point of the thesis. The third and most crucial point is heart pulse meter itself – it will be described in terms of mechanics, electrics and software. System based on optical measurement has been chosen in semestral project. Furthermore, accuracy of designed meter will be tested.
Measurement and anaysis of electrocardiograms
Zimáková, Jana ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The aim of my barchelor’s thesis was to become familiar with the methology of measurement of electrocardiographic signals, their description and subsequent analysis. During the measurement I used a computer system Biopac and program Matlab. The work is divided into three parts. The first part is focused on general problems of the heart activity, the generation, measurement and description of ECG curves. The second part is devoted to a description of the systém Biopac – recovery, procedure for the measurement and results measured sleep and stress ECG. The third part describes the actual processing of measured signals in Matlab.
Design of Flow, Temperature and Pressure Measuring System
Macíček, Ondřej ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis contains complete design of the complex measuring system for temperature, pressure and flow. Objects of measuring are pressure in rabbit’s heart ventricle, flow of the saline through the heart and the temperatures of physiological solution. Work is interested in programming of microcontroller and program for LabVIEW environment, which is used to view and export relevant data related to measuring. Text also contains technical documentation of functional sample of measuring system.
Detection of atrial fibrillation in short-term ECG
Ambrožová, Monika ; Janoušek, Oto (referee) ; Ronzhina, Marina (advisor)
Atrial fibrillation is diagnosed in 1-2% of the population, in next decades, it expects a significant increase in the number of patients with this arrhythmia in connection with the aging of the population and the higher incidence of some diseases that are considered as risk factors of atrial fibrillation. The aim of this work is to describe the problem of atrial fibrillation and the methods that allow its detection in the ECG record. In the first part of work there is a theory dealing with cardiac physiology and atrial fibrillation. There is also basic descreption of the detection of atrial fibrillation. In the practical part of work, there is described software for detection of atrial fibrillation, which is provided by BTL company. Furthermore, an atrial fibrillation detector is designed. Several parameters were selected to detect the variation of RR intervals. These are the parameters of the standard deviation, coefficient of skewness and kurtosis, coefficient of variation, root mean square of the successive differences, normalized absolute deviation, normalized absolute difference, median absolute deviation and entropy. Three different classification models were used: support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbor (KNN) and discriminant analysis classification. The SVM classification model achieves the best results. Results of success indicators (sensitivity: 67.1%; specificity: 97.0%; F-measure: 66.8%; accuracy: 92.9%).
Analysis of measured parameters of the cardiovascular system
Lysoň, Jakub ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Kratochvíla, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis talks about the measurement of heart electrical activity by twelve lead ECG. The diagnostic system Biopac is used for measurement, featured by the computer program Acqknowledge. The own authentic method is designed to detect effect of load on increasing in blood pressure and heartbeat. Using a statistical procedure for testing hypotheses in this area the measurement results will be evaluated. For the analysis of measured data in time and frequency domain was used program Matlab, in which the measured results were imported. It was created functions that are implemented in an medium of Guide to the graphic design program.
ECG signal classification
Smělý, Tomáš ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Hrubeš, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with classification of different types of time courses of ECG signals. Main objective was to recognize the normal cycles and several forms of arrhythmia and to classify the exact types of them. Classification has been done with usage of algorithms of Neural Networks in Matlab program, with its add-on (Neural Network Toolbox). The result of this thesis is application, which makes possible to load an ECG signal, pre-process it and classify its each cycle into five classes. Percentage results of this classification are in the conclusion of this thesis.
New scene of the Beseda House in Vyškov - neoplasm in a historical setting
Husárová, Anette ; Kipila, Lubomír (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of the proposal is to create an object that will extend the existing one, which is currently unsuitable for requirements on the modern audiovisual scene. The proposed object mirrors this aim in its modern timeless mass which is originally designed for the given region. It is the unrepeatable neoplasm in a historical environment that will help raise the architectural level of the region by its concept.
Microcontroler based ECG Generator
Bureš, Michal ; Bubník, Karel (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the generation of an ECG signal and options how to generate a physiological or a pathological signal using the microprocessor. On the basis of the studied methods for generating signal was used the graphic method, using the table values to describe the an individual waves contained in the ECG signal. Bacherol’s thesis solves a design of the individual parts that are needed to realization the genererator. These parts are a block diagram, a system design and a flowchart. On the basis of a design is constructed and programmed function ECG signal generator.
Ion balance and its effect on heart function, measurement and analysis of ECG
Štrbková, Lenka ; Nováková, Zuzana (referee) ; Wilhelm,, Zdeněk (advisor)
Mechanical heart function is based on electrical changes at the level of cardiac cells. These electrical changes are primarily affected by the distribution of ions, intra-and extracellularly. Kidneys are very important for the physiological regulation of ion homeostasis in the body. The ion homeostasis is disrupted in case of the kidney function failure. The aim of this thesis is to compare ion values, acid-base balance before and after dialysis, and also possible changes in ECG time intervals before and after dialysis of these patients. The thesis also deals with the description of the electrocardiographic signals and the implementation of the program for ECG signal analysis. I used the ECG signals from the available database „PhysioBank“ for testing the developed program.
